mVisum CCS (Cardiology Communication
System) securely and rapidly transmits patient data to a cardiologist’s
smartphone where it can be quickly viewed, assessed and responded
to.
The goal of mVisum CCS is to provide cardiologists with the information
necessary to rapidly assess patients presenting to the hospital with
symptoms of a heart attack. Rapid treatment of such patients is essential
to avoid major damage to heart muscle that can result in significant
and costly long-term-care issues.
As part of The United States Department of Veteran’s Affairs
VAi2 Industry Innovation program, mVisum was awared a contract to
pilot CCS at the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC where it is being
configured to work within the VA’s secure medical records and
patient data environment.
The following data can be transmitted to the cardiologist’s Smartphone:
Newly acquired and archived EKG’s
Critical Laboratory
results
Echocardiograms*
MRI’s*
Discharge notes and other reports
* Image review capabilities of mVisum CCS
are for investigational purposes only and have not yet received
